What is Dream2014?

Dream2014 is the ultimate campaign of the Uganda Lacrosse Union, the goal to compete in the 2014 World Championships in Denver, CO.  A team of 24 of the best players will be selected to represent Uganda as it becomes the first team ever to represent the continent of Africa.

The World Lacrosse Championships happen every 4 years, and with the addition of a half dozen countries to the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) since the last event in 2010, over 40 countries are expected to compete this year.  Uganda is the first and only African member nation, and Uganda became the 40th country to be a member nation in 2011.  Uganda’s addition as the 40th country also makes lacrosse eligible for a bid to the Olympics in 2020 and 2024.  To read more about the World Lacrosse Championships, go to the Men’s FIL World Championship website.
